Jordan Stiede, Ph.D.
Dr. Stiede specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related disorders. These disorders include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety and worry, Tourette’s syndrome, social anxiety, panic attacks, separation anxiety, phobias, trichotillomania (hair-pulling), and excoriation (skin-picking). He has a variety of clinical experiences in outpatient, partial hospitalization, and inpatient/residential settings, and approaches intervention through a theory-guided, evidence-based framework.
He completed a 5-year graduate program in clinical psychology under the direction of Dr. Doug Woods at Marquette University. He also completed a 1-year American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical internship in the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Clinic at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, under the direction of Dr. Eric Storch. After earning his Ph.D., he stayed at Baylor College of Medicine to complete a postdoctoral fellowship that included advanced training in treatment of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related disorders. He is currently a clinical affiliate assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Stiede has experience conducting research to help understand, improve, and disseminate treatment for Tourette’s syndrome, OCD, anxiety disorders, and trichotillomania. He has collaborated with universities and businesses as a site coordinator for multiple NIH-funded studies of behavioral treatments for tics and trichotillomania. Further, he has received research funding, served as a peer-reviewer for research journals, and mentored and trained undergraduate and graduate research assistants. Through his research efforts, Dr. Stiede has co-authored 26 peer-reviewed articles, 5 book chapters, and co-edited one book.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks, and relaxing at his family's cabin.
